Something cute

Can you believe it's Thursday and how did it get here so quickly? I guess I wasn't looking.

The other day while out and about, I stopped off at Marshall's to see what was going on and came across this cute coffee mug with a little kitty peering over the edge. Ok, this is not a new concept to get so excited over but I just thought it was the cutest thing. In fact since I have some errands to run today, I might have to stop off and bring it home with me. I didn't check the price but I'm going to guess somewhere around $5. Do I have any bets as to its actual cost? I'll let you know.

While I am ooohing and awwwwing over cats, here is one of my kitty tea pots. It's surprising I don't collect Hello Kitty....anymore! Ha ha for the record, no, I never collected Hello Kitty. I mean seriously. :D

Here is my latest tea pot purchased at a church thrift shop. It's my most expensive one and largest at $7 but it was in great shape so I got it but it does leave me wondering what the tea cups looked like.

In case you're interested here's what today's weather looks like:

The weather has finally cooled off a bit. The sky is a little overcast right now and the weather is predicted to be in the 70s with a slight chance of rain. In fact, it just thundered! Hard to believe we were sweltering in the 90s and 100s last week. This has definitely been the wierdest summer ever.

  2. Hi Bonnie! How cute! You know I love anything with kitties! And a belated happy birthday! Looks like you had fun, ate great food and got some wonderful presents! Thanks for the popover recipe. I have to admit that I hadn't heard of them either. so I will have to try it! Sorry to be so far behind! Between NOLA and Little League baseball, I am hardly at home! 3. Oh Bonnie my sweet......I am so relieved to see that your weather has improved; I have been hearing about 115 degree weather inland and L.A. as well, experiencing this infernal heat....I remember now why I don't really care for living in California anymore! I really have gotten used to the change of seasons having lived in Boston and now here. HEY! YOU CAME BY TO CASTLES FOR A CUP OF TEA, a chat by the fire, and a little cinquain poetry. How I love to see your visits dear...you and I go "way back" from when I first started blogging and I hope you never part from my blog life! AHHHHHHH!!!!! I JUST NOTICED THAT BLACK CAT ON YOUR SIDEBAR!!! YOU CAN SEE HIM BREATHING!!!! WWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! My mother hated cats. She would scream when they rubbed against her leg! While I am not creeped out by them, whenever I see them, I think of what they meant to my mom. BUT I KNOW YOUR KITTY IS A GOOD KITTY! And I would love to meet him/her? one day! Have a lovely and cool day my friend, Anita

  5. Hi Bonnie
The coffee mug with the kitty! How cute is that.. I think you are probably correct.. I would guess around $5. But maybe you will be surprised and hit a sale..
    Love your teapots.
Well IT'S ABOUT TIME you cooled off.. Has this weather been nuts or what... We were in the teens last week and now it's cloud cover and thunder.. A little rain yesterday.. What a relief yes?
Have a great weekend and stay cool!

  6. Oh Bonnie, j'adore the little kitty teapot! I know, can you believe this weather. So yesterday, my company hosted our end of summer event and we were at Petco Park to watch the game. Soaking wet!!! I went because it's the first time for me to go to a baseball game, but the rain was ridiculous! Anyways, baseball was boring but it was great to see Petco Park and all the die hard fans in the rain (not me), I left at 5:00.

Happy weekend Bonnie and stay dry :-) in San Diego.

  7. I LOVE the kitty mug! Your teapots too. So sorry to hear about all your heat. Also heard from a San Diego friend that there've been some pretty ferocious thunder storms. All the years we lived in La Jolla, there were none!! Hope you cool down before Christmas!!

    Best,
    Bonnie

  10. I'm guessing $7.99 (probably more-although I'm not familiar with Marshalls).

My niece is getting married in San Diego on the beach somewhere TODAY (Sunday). I'm hopeful it turns out to be pleasant and was glad to hear the heat had broken.
