At a stop light in back of a truck full of tortillas! You can see a police car on the right.
It really got dark and rainy as I headed down Washington Street
Straight ahead is an old brewery
Finally made it to Busters in Seaport Village to meet up with Jamie. I started things off with a cup of coffee and she had a delicious looking hot chocolate.
Oh, yummy!
Here is my niece Jamie about to dig in...
...to a delicious order of french toast with toasted coconut and bananas.
Yes, that's me eyeing up what's on my plate...
...Eggs Benedict!
Surprisingly the weather had cleared up when we left the restaurant BUT just for the record it did get overcast once again and the temperature cooled.
Look at these gorgeous flowers and a beautiful blue sky.
There are so many beautiful photo ops, here are a few
Cerveza, anyone!

This isn't such a great shot but here is a photo of the USS Ronald Reagan across the bay.
In the distance towards the left is the Coronado Bridge.
Let me take you into my favorite store at Seaport Village. It's Upstart Crow and besides books and great lattes, they got lots unique merchandise.

That looks like country ham on your eggs benedict! My favorite breakfast--well, I also like country ham on biscuits. In fact, I'm heading down to Virginia in a few weeks to get some--ham and biscuits.

ReplyDeleteBONNIE!!! Oh I knew you would be moved by the boots...and your niece must have looked smashing! I will forever love this era for the music, the fashion, and the slightly innocent age of discovery....I don't know if we can say that about this age, but the sixties ROCK ON! So good to see you dearest. My work is scary busy; I hardly have time to think!

Crikey, the tortilla truck really has me going.I'm so jealous of all the Mexican deliciousness that surrounds you.If I saw that tortilla truck here,I'd run it off the road and then abscond with it!!I bet they are corn ones too.Corn tortillas are hard to get here, and expensive when you do find them.I keep meaning to make some, but I'm too bloody lazy!
ReplyDeleteAll those cushions are fab!!And I love that mug too!AND the kitty mug! Fab pix, doll!
