Hallelujah and Pass the Cheese Grits!

My niece Jamie and I spent a fun Sunday morning (yes, I know I'm a little late in posting) at the House of Blues Gospel Brunch. It was an awesome way to spend the morning. Take a look...

Jamie and me at the House of Blues

Oh, yummy...the omelette station!

The closest I will probably get to a gospel service. The music and voices raised the roof!

There is a rolicking finale where you are invited onstage.

Visit the House of Blues to find a Gospel Brunch near you!

And lest I forget it is the holiday season which means the continuation of Nigella Lawson's Christmas Kitchen. You can't help but feel festive with Part 2!

Have a holly, jolly Christmas!

  1. Bonnie dearest! What a great time you must of had! I love gospel music....I went to a multi-cultural church once with a black gospel choir, and honey, I was literally dancin' in the aisles, walkin' on water!!!!! WHOAH! It looks like you two ladies had a blast! And downtown SD looks just like I left it, 30 years ago! How are you dearest? Those omelette fixins' look marvelous! Stay cozy, we have a ton of snow that feel last night!!! Happy Christmas, Anita

  2. Oh this looks like such fun! I've always wanted to go to this, but we never seem to be near a HOB on Sunday morning. They do have something similar in Austin at Stubbs BBQ, so we are going to try and check that out. Have a wonderful day! Kathy

  3. I keep trying to get to the one here in Dallas, but alas and alack...time is not my friend. Obviously I am missing out on something wonderful!

  4. Oh, how fun, Bonnie! Alas, there is no House of Blues near me! However, I say pass the cheese grits ANY day of the weeek...my favorite! Yum! You always show your visitors such a good time! Happy rest of the week!...hugs...Debbie

  5. Wow-that looks like it was great fun! The omelet line looks very yummy:).

  6. Oh that looks like fun! I would love to hear it....

    Warm blessings,

  7. How wonderful that you had another bonding outing with your niece. The omelette line looked savory... I could smell those yummy omelettes sizzling all the way from here... I bet they were uber delish! Thanks for sharing your fabulous day at the House of Blues. That choir probably raised the roof.... Hallelujah!!! Totally inspirational and musically uplifting I'm sure! Hope you had a great wkend, Bon Bon!

  8. Bonnie dearest!!! Thank you for coming over to my ballet post! Is your niece still staying with you? We are freezing out here, but loving the season for we are waiting to have 2 weeks off together!!! Did you receive your package yet??
